This Sustainable Swimwear Label Is All About Slow Fashion

Sustainable Australian swimwear

With the realisation of damage the fashion industry is impacting on the world, with mass waste and land fills, Cleonie Swim is one label winding back the clock on their production line.

Since the beginning, Cleonie has focused on supplying sustainable and all-Australian products to the world.  The brand cuts and sews each order as it is placed, lowering the amount of waste in materials, and any excess stock.

The label’s creator, Kitty Scott, says: “We take the time and care to make sure that our products are made with love, understanding and a completeness only Independent Labels are able to offer”.

“There are so many options and alternatives in this industry to manufacture responsibly and with care.  We will continue to set goals to become more sustainable and ultimately make changes in our manufacturing to design our swimwear, reduce our impact, generate awareness and rally our lovely customers, to join us in taking action”.

In line with the brand’s philosophy of minimising impact, all of Cleonie’s orders are shipped in eco-packaging which can be reused or thrown in with the compost.

Staying true to it’s origins, Cleonie sets itself apart as a truly unique Australian brand, making summer moments even more special and true.

For Cleonie Swim’s latest 2020 Season, Kitty collaborated with artist and close friend Bonnie Gray on a line inspired by tropical summers, 90’s memories, pink flamingos, fruit smoothies and deep pockets filled with honest heart joys.  “It’s been a pairing like no other in the brand’s history, and there is plenty more to come”, Scott said.
